Discovered by model scout Kevin Ellis though shopping at a Durban flea market when she was 15, Candice signed with Ice Model Management and rapidly made a name for herself. It was truly a dream come true, because as a young girl she always consideration of becoming a model. By the time Candice be 16 she was making $6,000 per day, and in October 2005, when she was only 17, she graced the cover of Vogue Hellas.
